About

When I was little, I didn’t dream of one job—I dreamed of all the -ists. Scientist, biologist, archeologist, artist. Curiosity was my compass.

Like many creatives, I chose the practical path first. I studied science and engineering and spent decades in pharmaceutical consulting, soybean genetics, fluorescence microscopy, and clinical chemistry. Art was something I made quietly, just for myself, while career and family took center stage.

Meanwhile, I tried everything that sparked joy—knitting, crochet, stained glass, fused glass, pastels, pottery, drawing, acrylics, oils, watercolor, mixed media, collage. Each one was a doorway I happily walked through. I fell in love every time and wondered if I’d ever choose a single path.

But the truth is, the artist in me wasn’t indecisive—she was gathering tools. Learning the languages of color, value, line, form, and composition. Preparing.

Now she’s ready. And finally, so am I.
